The past couple weeks have been pretty slow, but lately I've spent my time packing and waiting. So time has almost come to a stop over the past couple days. I'm really looking forward to the change in pace not the mention the change of setting. Socorro is a very beautiful place.Truth be known I havent even finished packing. The more I pack the more I want to just leave, so I think I'll just wait till the last minute. As my pappy would say; "Son you jusa hole off on your plans, watcha the TV, eatcha somea them hot pockets. Yu gatcha whola life fo dat...uh stuff."

I'm seriously impressed with the Gnome desktop environment. I havent actually been using it, but I have been using programs that are governed by GTK wich is a huge part of what Gnome is. GTK is a API for making the interface in UNIX-ish operating systems both for the Window manager and for many discrete programs, just in case your were lost Anyway I am amazed by Gnome 2.2. I can honestly say its prettier and easier to use that any Mac OS I've ever used. In all fairness I have not used MacOS X, which sounds impressive.Anyway in the past Mac has taken the prize for intuitive interfaces. The reason I feel its easier to use than Mac is because its just a little more complicated that the Mac interfaces I've seen, which I feel was the only drawback of using a Mac. Anyway If your reading this and you just use your computer for net stuff Linux+Gnome is for you. If you use your computer for writing stuff, messing with pictures, listening to music, as well as web stuff Linux+Gnome is for you. If you like games well then PS2 is for youfor that matter gaming is much better on PS2, than on any Windows or Linux box. Anyway if you use windows because thats what everyone else uses, then you're really missing out on a easier more powerfull FREE alternative. In the past Linux has been the best choice if you have some knowledge and a great deal of patience, but I think its just better for everyone now. KDE is still to hard to use but Gnome really makes me think things are about to change. Thank you GNU. Down with the man, and up with the individual. Score!

I need to get of this soap box and take a breath...

PS: I would like to mention, if you like to controll everything and you don't get excited over pretty graphics then KDE/Linux IS for you.

[This is my first post using this service]-----(Hey thats cool.)

I am currently in the process of filing my taxes using an e-file service. Did you know that the IRS dousen't even do the actual e-filing, it's done only by third parties that may or may not charge you. Anyway I chose to use a free one. I think the catch is that they sell your e-mail address to spammers, however this is not a problem because I use a seperate e-mail address for anytime I need to get an e-mail from somewhere that will probably spam me. I highly recomend this practice to everyone. It works great, just get one e-mail address from your friends and a seperate one for when you expect a password e-mail from a porn site. Uhh... just kidding...?
